Vandaag een winters kaartje met een stempeltje van Whimsy: Winter Fairy

Deze stempels zijn zo mooi gedetailleerd en ze drukken prachtig af, zalig om mee te werken. Ik ben echt fan van dit merk, maar heb er jammer genoeg nog niet veel mee gewerkt wegens tijdsgebrek, 1 van mijn voornemens van dit jaar is dan ook meer werken met stempels die nog nieuw in de kast liggen .... komt dit jullie bekend voor?! LOL

 

These stamps are so beautiful and detailed and they make a wonderful print, a pleasure to work with. I must say I really love this brand, but unfortunatly I haven't used many of them due to lack of time, but 1 of my resolutions for this year is using more stamps that I haven't used before .... does this sound familiar to you ?! LOL

 

Ik heb haar ingekleurd met Distress inkt, het rode randje is gemaakt met de nieuwe MFT Stitched Mini Scallop square mallen. Het papier is van Maja Design en de ijskristallen zijn van Impression Obsession die ik uit glitter papier gestanst heb. Ik heb hetzelfde rood als ervoor gebruikt voor de kaart, meer heeft deze kaart niet nodig.

 

I colored her with Distress ink, the red border is made with the new MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Square dies and the paper is from Maja Design. The ice Crystals are from Impression Obsession and are die cut from glitter paper ... I used the same red as before for my card, no extra embellisments necessary.

First let me wish you all a healty and creative 2016 !

 

Door een drukke agenda, ben ik er niet in geslaagd om eerder mijn project in te dienen, daarom een iets latere start deze maand.

 

Due to my busy calendar, I was unable to present my first project, so here it is, a bit later then expected.

 

Januari, met als thema ‘Chocolate Baroque’…

January, and our challenge is 'Chocolate Baroque' ...

Oh boy !

 

Wat doe je als je een opdracht krijgt die helemaal buiten jouw  normale doen valt?

Even goed nadenken en er gewoon je eigen ding van maken…

 

What do you do when you get an assignment that is completely out of your comfort zone?

You think very heart and turn it around and make it your own ...

 

 

Eerlijk… de stempels van ‘Chocolate Baroque’ zijn niet echt mijn ding, ze gaan nogal de klassieke en frivole toer op…

Dus  zocht ik er ééntje waar ik toch een hele andere wending aan kon geven…

 

Honestly ... these stamps from 'Chocolate Baroque' are not my thing, they are more classic or frivolous ... so I search to find one that I could work with ...

 

 

Beetje zwart, beetje fluo, beetje zotte snijmal… en hop, het werd toch weer een echte ‘mezelf’-kaart…

Ik gebruikte dus de Tangled Fragments set van Chocolate Baroque

Ik stempelde met de fluo-inkt van Hero Arts

En gebruikte een stukje fluo oranje papier om de kader te maken.

Die stanste ik met een mal van Die Namics.

Een tekstje van de Nederlandse kerst-stempels van Joy , eveneens met fluo-inkt gestempeld.

En nog een lintje uit mijn privé-collectie…

 

 

A bit of black, some neon, a funky die ... and there was a Nancy card ....

I used the Tangled Fragments set from Chocolate Baroque a

nd stamped it with the Hero Arts Neon ink cubes.

The window was die cut from a piece of neon orange paper with the Die-namics Peek a Boo Wonky windows. The text is a clear stamp from a  JOY Christmas set and was also stamped with the neon ink cubes. The ribbon is from my own collection ...

Poppies van Chocolate Baroque

 

Goeiemorgen iedereen,

 

Good morning everyone,

 

vandaag heb ik een kaartje met een lievelingsbloem van me, de klaproos.

 

Today a card with my favorite flower, the poppy

 

Ik vind hem persoonlijk zo mooi, ook in deze uitvoering van Chocolate Baroque.

Jawel, Inge heeft ons, als DT team echt wel even uitgedaagd om te werken met materiaal dat we niet zelf zouden kiezen.

Maar, niet erg, heb er even over moeten nadenken, hieronder het resultaat.

 

I love this one from Chocolate Baroque.

Yes, Inge gave us this time quite a challenge with these stamps, it is not something I would have chosen but I really like how it turned out ! It just took a bit of thinking but here is the result.

 

 

Het afdrukje is ingekleurd met Distress Inkt op aquarel papier.

 

The stamp is colored with Distress ink on watercolor paper.

 

Achtergrond is gemaakt met Distress Inkt Pads, te 'smeren' over je plastic sheet, een beetje water sprayen en dan je kaart er even op deppen. Zowel met rood als met groen, hou zelf een beetje in de gaten, dat de kleuren niet mengen als je dat niet wil ! (sommige kleuren combineren echt niet goed LOL)

 

I made the background by pressing my Distress inkpads on a plastic sheet, sprayed some water and then I dabbed my card in the colors. I used red and green, just make sure the colors don't mix if you don't want them too ! (some colors make a mess!)

 

Kleine spikkeltjes aangebracht met een spikkelstempel met Distress Inkt.

Een fotokadertje uitsnijden, de bloem er een beetje achter plakken. Het sentiment toevoegen van Tim Holtz (zo dankbaar materiaal !), werk alles af met een dun touwtje en knoop. Alles klaar !

 

Add little specks with a stamp and Distress ink. Die cut a polaroid and attach the flower. Add the die cut Tim Holtz sentiment (this is so great!) and finish your card with some twine and a button.

Een ongeluk zit in een klein hoekje

Hi everyone,

Vandaag een simpel kaartje met een Whipper Snapper stempel: Boo Boo Bear

Today a simple card with a Whipper Snapper stamp: Boo Boo Bear.

Hij is ingekleurd met Distress inkt, daarna uitgestanst en op een achtergrondje geplaatst. Nog een exclusief tekststempel van In 't Woefke erop, en voilà, het kaartje is af.

He is colored with Distres ink, die cut and placed on a card. The only thing I added is an exclusive In 't Woefke textstamp and my card was finished.

Chocolate Baroque Landscape Collage

Hi everyone,

 

De uitdaging voor het DT is deze maand Chocolate Baroque, en natuurlijk kan ik dan niet achterblijven ... en daarom ging ik ook aan de slag met deze prachtige stempels.

Toegegeven, soms is het iets meer nadenken .... maar dat is ook een uitdaging hè. En toen ik éénmaal begon ... kon ik niet meer stoppen LOL

 

The challenge this moth for our DT is Chocolate Baroque, and as usual I try to participate also, so without delay I played some with these gorgeous stamps.

Although I must admit, it took a bit more time to think about my cards ...

but hey that's why it's a challenge right?! And once I got started ... I just couldns't stop playing LOL

 

Voor m'n eerste projektje heb ik de stempel Landscape Collage gebruikt,

 ... en wel in héél speciale kleuren!

Wie mij kent weet dat ik niet zo'n gek ben van Turquoise, al begin ik het wel meer en meer te appreciëren op kaarten e.d., maar ik wou eens iets helemaal anders doen dan wat ik normaal zou doen en geen echte natuurkleuren gebruiken, ... en ik denk wel dat het gelukt is turquoise met roze LOL 

 

For my first project I used the stamp Landscape Collage ... Normally I would use real nature colors for such a stamp, but I decided to go completely out of my comfort zone and use colors that I normally would never use on a landscape: teal (those peope that know me, know this is not my favorite color, although I do appreciate it more and more on cards and such) 

and I combined it with pink

 

 

Ik heb de stempel zelfs 2x afgedrukt op aquarel papier, en dan heb ik van 1 plaatje

het middenste deel (rechthoek) uitgesneden.

Deze heb ik eerst geblend met Tumbled Glass (de zon en de bloemen liet ik zoveel mogelijk zonder kleur) en dan in de hoeken nog wat Broken China. Nu vielen de wolken niet echt meer op in de achtergrond, dus nam ik een vochtig penseel, maakte de wolken vochtig en depte ze dan af met een tissue, zo werden de wolken veel bleker en dit herhaalde ik - telkens met een proper penseel - tot ik tevreden was van het resultaat.

 

I stamped the image twice and I cut from 1 image the middle out (rectangle).

This piece I blended with Tumbled Glass (I left the son and flowers as pale as possible) and added a bit of Broken China in the corners.

The clouds didn't show enough, so I took a wet brush and colored them with water and then I took a tissue and dabbed them dry. I repeated this when necessary with a clean brush untill I was satisfied.

 

Dan nam ik mijn penseel, en bracht nog wat Picked Raspberry aan op de zon/maan en de bloemen. Voor de boom en enkele bolletjes tussen de bloemen, gebruikte ik

WOW Totally Teal embossing poeder. Om het af te werken, nam ik een zwarte stift

en ging ik langs de randen tot er geen wit meer te zien was...

 

Then I took my brush and added some Picked Raspberry on the sun/moon and the flowers.

For the tree and some elements between the flowers I used WOW Totally Teal embossing powder. To finish my card I used a black marker so the white doesn't show anymore.

 

Voor het 2de plaatje heb ik de rand rondom ingekleurd met m'n penseel met wat Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass / Broken China en Dusty Concord. Daarna heb ik Versamark rondom aangebracht (marker en pad) en heb ik wat WOW Purple Glitz Glitter embossing poeder aangebracht en verhit.

 

For the 2nd stamped image, I colored the edges with a brush and Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass / Broken China and Dusty Concord. Then I used Versamark around the edges (marker and pad) and added WOW Purple Glitz Glitter embossing powder.

 

De 2 stukken heb ik op elkaar gekleefd en dan nog de achterkant van SEI wintersong papier en dat alles op een kaart aangebracht. Nog 1 van m'n eigen tekststempels erop die er wel bij past

en de kaart is af.

 

Finally I attached both pieces on the backside of SEI winterson paper and attached it on a card; I stamped one of my own textstamps on it, and my card was ready .

 

Zo, ik hoop dat dit jullie inspireert om zelf met deze mooie stempels aan de slag te gaan, binnenkort zien jullie nog meer Chocolate Baroque .
